  • The player positioned to the direct right of the dealer is called the Cut-Off
    The name Cut-Off is related to the tradition to have the player on the right to the dealer cut the card deck after the dealer shuffled it.
    In games where the player are taking turns in dealing, the person on their immediate right has the right to cut the deck once the dealer finished the shuffle.

    The short-term used for the Cut-Off is CO.

    As the Cut-Off is considered one of the most premium positions in poker next to the button, players are able to play more cards than in earlier positions.
