  • Definitely bet flop for 1/3. Villain will probably overfold to some extent, but we still get value from every pair, few draws, some King highs, backdoors. The main factor that makes slowplaying bad, that I don't see people attacking checks aggressively, especially on A82r, especially on microstakes. After flop cbet, turn is basically an overbet spot, but with our hand check is fine, normal sized bet is fine. I'd still bet though. If we get called again, I'd bet river as well, like halfpot. As pl…

  • Flop is fine. I agree with your turn check as well. It's a much better card for OOP range, so it makes sense to bet with low frequency, and big sizing, as we don't really have thin vbets. River I'd give up. I don't see too many better hands x/folding, maybe a few AQ, some low pockets (although flop bet was 2/3, so he shouldn't really have them), few 8x if he even folds that.

  • Not that betting for value is bad, but being deep OOP you can't go wrong with checking, and here we won't have 3 streets of value on many runouts anyway. I guess alternative could be to bet flop really big, like potsize, and jam it on "good" turncards, but I wouldn't do it against unknown.

  • Quote from motiejus: “Quote from duder1n0: “He can have all boats, fair amount of 9x (A9s/J9s/T9s/98s) ” Of course you know better, but does villain really have that many nutted (9x+) hands in his range? Every of those hands of those of course continue on the flop, but how many of those first flat the initial bigger 3.5BB MP open on BU, but then also call the 17.2BB SB squeeze? I don't think 33 is realistic, so just a little 77 (not even sure about this hand) 99 and 9x (hardly blocked by the boa…

  • Against unknown I don't like your line 200bb deep. I would check flop, but you can cbet of course. We are too deep for a two-street plan, so I don't like the big flop bet too much, would rather size it around 1/3. As played, I feel like turn is a massive overplay without some solid read. He can have all boats, fair amount of 9x (A9s/J9s/T9s/98s), so I think it's way too optimistic that we will see bet/calls with worse hands enough for another 160bb...

  • I'd just x/fold flop, your hand is too weak, and I don't think it's a great spot to go crazy with bluffs, especially against unknown. As played I'd check turn. Do you think he will float you light on the flop? I don't think so. 6x/Ax/FDs he won't fold, maybe some pockets he bet/called flop with, but that's about it.

  • I guess it depends on the ranges, in my sim KK/AA is not for value anymore. Other thing that concerns me a bit is his big pre sizing. I don't know if 54s/75s/97s/J9s are in that range, although he still has a few FDs, JTs/T9s to bluff with.

  • Quote from poop_scoop: “BB can only value jam 8x+ right? ” He should, my concern though that he could "incorrectly" jam KK+ sometimes, thinking it's thin value vs Qx... Otherwise I agree, all draws miss, so he has lots of potential bluff combos.

  • Quote from chief: “Pre is good. What do you do vs jam? ” Hate my life... Tbh, given positions, and 2>7>17 sizing I don't really expect to see jams. What does he jam here? AK? QQ? Only KK+? If I fold QQ here, then even KK is not a valuejam for him... Quote from chief: “Vs jam mmh, what does he have for bluffs? Some random AQhh? I'd fold. ” Yeah, if his only offsuit hand is AKo, then he should turn non-spade hands, or pockets with a spade into bluff...

  • I feel like overbetting turn already. On the river I would definitely jam. As you played it's quite a huge overbet, but I would still go for it, especially with the info on Villain.

  • What would you then bet on the turn?

  • I think you played it fine. Against a big turnbarrel it would get uncomfortable, but against this halfsize it's just a clear call.
